Pool Rules

 

 

Swimming Pool

No rough play allowed - chicken fights, dunking, hitting, slapping, etc.
No eating, drinking, or chewing gum allowed in the pool.
No banging/slapping of noodles, kick boards, towels, or the like in the pool.
Zero tolerance for profanity.
No throwing of objects in the pool or across the pool. (Okay to toss objects at close distances - (10 feet or less) - use common sense.
Large floats not allowed if the pool is crowded. (Call based on lifeguard's judgement).
The lifeguard on the stand has complete control and authority over any and all actions in the swimming pool and deck apron areas - pay close attention to his/her instructions/commands.
Failing to heed the lifeguard's instructions/commands will result in disciplinary actions - 1st offense - 10 to 15 minute sit-out, 2nd offense - 20 minute sit-out, 3rd offense - will be asked to leave, parents called, not allowed back in the pool for the day!
All children that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper (disposable or washable) while in the water.

 

Diving Boards

Only one person allowed per board per dive or jump - never should there be 2 people on the diving board.
If the lifeguard believes a member is coming too close to the board during a dive/jump - the member will be instructed to cease that particular dive/jump.
No double bouncing.
Must dive or jump straight ahead - no diving or jumping to the side.
Diving area must be clear before the next diver to follow.
Members wanting to use the boards for diving or jumping receive priority status - All games must be concluded and diving area cleared.

 

Baby Pool

Reserved for younger swimmers (typically 4 1/2 years of age and younger).
Parental supervision is required and expected.
All children that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper (disposable or washable) while in the water.
Please do not allow your child to play in the water if you are aware he or she has had a recent illness or has diarrhea.
Please notify the pool staff immediately if an accident occurs with respect to bodily waste.
Please keep the diaper changing area clean. Please dispose of all diapers, wipes, etc., in the proper manner.

 

Safety Check

15-minute safety check/rest break per hour at approximately 45 minutes past the hour - 1:45, 2:45, 3:45, 4:45, etc.
Age 16 and above permitted to swim during safety check.
Age 15 and under must be completely out of the pool - must sit at edge of the pool. Okay to hang legs in the pool. Not allowed on ladders or steps.
Basketball games will not be permitted during safety check. This action will ensure the availability of the pool for members wishing to swim laps.

 

Life Guard on Stand

Only the lifeguard/assistant manager/manager allowed on the stand - members are not allowed to sit on the stand with the guards.
No socializing while on the stand - please keep your conversions/discussions to a minimum.
The lifeguard's view should not be obstructed in any way nor his/her attention diverted from the pool.

 

Pool Games

A Member's safety is the number one concern - all games played must be safe and reasonable as determined by the pool staff and the Board of Directors.
Alligator/Shark can be played, but entrants must begin in the water by pool wall as opposed to running and diving into the water.
Have fun, but please use common sense when playing any game in or around the water.

 

Deck Area - Pool Apron

No running.
No spitting.
No hitting.
Zero tolerance for profanity.
Throw away any trash (soft drinks, candy and candy wrappers, Band-Aids, gum, etc.) in trashcans located on pool deck or upper deck.
If you eat anything on the Pool Deck Apron, it must be 10 feet away from the pool. You must clean up after yourself.
No glass containers will be allowed.
No banging/slapping of noodles, kick boards, towels, or the like on the pool deck area.
No alcoholic beverages allowed.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on Mountain Springs property.

 

Pool Office

There should always be either a lifeguard, assistant manager, or manager in the office - at all times.
Phone calls should be limited to 2-3 minutes.
All members must sign-in.

 

Bathrooms

The bathrooms will be cleaned daily.
Please help us to keep them clean - please report any problems to personnel on duty.
Lifeguards will periodically make spot checks throughout the day.

 

Guests

Guests should arrive with a member.
Guest fee should be paid at time of arrival.
Member should sign-in guest.

 

Parties

Must schedule daytime or after-hour parties with the manager - reservations taken on first come-first serve basis.
Please check with the manager with regard to the party fee structures.
The member or members conducting the party are responsible for cleaning up any areas where food is served.
The member conducting the party should pay the party fee before or immediately after the conclusion.

 

Upper Wooden Deck

If you eat on the deck - you must clean up after yourself.
No running.
No spitting.
No hitting.
Zero tolerance for profanity.
Throw away any trash (soft drinks, candy, candy wrappers, Band-Aids, gum, etc.) in trashcans located on upper deck.
No banging/slapping of noodles, kick boards, towels, or the like on the upper deck area.
No alcoholic beverages allowed.
